Our Teach Through a Text training programme takes place online in Autumn and Spring terms and these days are open to all teachers. We strongly believe literature is vital to the teaching of literacy and English, so our training is always book-based, supporting the Reading for Pleasure agenda and our goal of strengthening teacher’s knowledge of how to use literature in the classroom. Our year group-specific training combines both practical ideas and the pedagogy behind them, immersing delegates within the theme of the book, taking them on a journey through a text whilst drawing upon drama techniques and props to bring a book alive, all whilst covering the requirements of the National Curriculum. School members receive 20% off all places.
Our half-termly Planning Surgeries are for our school members only. These are short sessions led by a Literacy Tree consultant to support planning for the term ahead. Please book one place per school and look ahead at the books/Writing Roots that will be covered. The Zoom code will appear prior to the session in the school administrator's account.
