Embedding a Literary Curriculum in Reception

This one day course, suitable for Reception teachers and EYFS leaders, will explore the teaching of phonics within a meaningful context through two high-quality texts. The planning sequences are best used in the summer term of reception and cover Letters and Sounds Phase 4 with elements of Phase 5 in readiness for the children's transition to KS1. The wider Literacy requirements of the EYFS 2017 are covered throughout both sequences.
