Children then go on to read a number of these tales, eventually innovating upon a known cautionary tale before planning in detail. Additional texts/poems: Have a selection of other cautionary tales available for children to read, e.g. others by Hilaire Belloc, and by David Lucas. Make these available in the class library and use during the teaching of Reading.
